CORONA COVID 19 INFECTION

CORONA COVID- 19 INFECTION – PLEASE DON’T MISS TO KNOW!

All of us would have got common cold and sneezing like symptoms in our life time and the Virus family is bigger, have more than 100 kith and kin. Every one of them are individual strain and can cause such symptoms any other times. That’s why no Vaccine for common cold so far.

Corona is a family name and COVID-19 is a part of the family that causes Common Cold / Flu like diseases. Unfortunately, it is more aggressive than any other family members.

The problem with viral diseases, they are very adaptive, becoming more virulent the more we try to resist and exploit the environment.

The need of the hour is to protect our RESPIRATORY SYSTEM by preserving it , and enhancing our IMMUNE SYSTEM.

There are 9 openings in human body. They are the doors to our inner body. These 9 openings are: Two Eyes Two Ears Two Nostrils One Mouth One Anus & One Urethra (External Reproductive Structures)

The Nostrils are connected to a most important critical organ, the LUNGS which in turn linked to HEART.

The entire respiratory system is of tubular design, starting from nostrils to the end- the lungs air pockets called alveoli. The first line of defense is at our throat, that’s the tonsils and it protects the lungs by preventing any foreign body like VIRUS or BACTERIA entering into it.

Its normal to have mild mucous at our throat then and there as natural defense mechanism takes place.

When should we be very careful enough to consult a DOCTOR, that everyone should know at this juncture.

We all know, how to avoid COVID 19 infection by following these steps:  1. Good Hand Washing 2. Personal Hygiene 3. Social Distancing, 4. Healthy Diet 5. Regular Exercise and enough Rest.

But, we should also know, to check the kind of sufferance and also know to take care of ourselves when we succumb to such infection.

How do we know that we have Coronavirus?
1.  Itching in the throat,
2.  Dry throat
3.  Dry cough.
4.  High temperature
5.  Shortness of breath
6.  Diarrhea

It’s not that every patient is taken to Hospital, the first and foremost they would be under HOME QUARANTINE unless otherwise that they suffer- having trouble breathing or fever is very high (over 39°C) and unmanaged with normal symptomatic medicines.

90% of healthy adult cases thus far have been managed at home with basic rest/hydration/over-the-counter medicines.

If you are in distress or feel your symptoms are getting worse OR have a medical history of Pre-existing conditions related to Lungs/ Heart OR taking immunosuppressant drugs, YOU NEED TO TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

But, if you’re having a normal cold, not of all the above symptoms, manageable by normal anti fever drugs and cough syrup, don’t get panicky.

1. It’s better to keep always at home, Paracetamol Tablets (not IBUPROFEN), Regular Mucous Thinning Cough syrup, Good Eucalyptus oil of Medical grade (BP/IP), Vicks vaporub, Steam Breathing set, Prescription Inhaler in case of Asthma. Also please keep a good, reputed AYURVEDIC cough syrup like Dabur HONITUS.
2. Have a good Protein Meals, Veg and Fruits rich in Vitamin C.
3. Drink warm water as required

IN CASE IF YOU ARE DIAGNOSED POSITIVE AND AT HOME QUARANTINE:

1. REST A LOT. You should not be leaving your house!  Even if you are feeling better you may will still be infectious for fourteen days (Better 21 Days) and, older people and those with existing health conditions should be avoided!
2. WEAR GLOVES AND A MASK to avoid contaminating others in your house
3. ISOLATE in your bedroom if not living alone, ask friends and family to leave supplies outside to avoid contact.
4. SANITIZE your bed linen and clothes frequently by washing and clean your bathroom with recommended sanitizers.
5. Remember the PH FOR CORONA VIRUS varies from 5.5 to 8.5.

All we need to do, to beat corona virus, we need to take more of an alkaline food that are above the above pH level of the Virus.
*Lemon - 9.9pH*   *Lime - 8.2pH*   *Avocado - 15.6pH*   *Garlic - 13.2pH*  *Mango - 8.7pH*
*Tangerine - 8.5pH*   *Pineapple - 12.7pH*   *Dandelion - 22.7pH*   *Orange - 9.2pH*

Finally, be calm and prepare rationally and believe that everything will be fine.

God be with you.

Happy Retirement !

RETIREMENT - TO LIVE AND LET LIVE!

Retirement is not a work status, it’s an attitude.
You are retired but not expired!   Make life after retirement pleasant!!

Many people feel unhappy, health-wise and security-wise, after 60 years of age owing to the diminishing importance given to them and their opinion. But it need not be so, if only we understand the basic principles of life and follow them scrupulously. Here are ten mantras to age gracefully and make life after retirement pleasant.

1. Never say ‘I am aged': There are three ages, chronological, biological, and psychological. The first is calculated based on our date of birth; the second is determined by the health conditions and the third is how old you feel you are. While we don't have control over the first, we can take care of our health with good diet, exercise and a cheerful attitude. A positive attitude and optimistic thinking can reverse the third age.

2. Health is wealth: If you really love your kith and kin, taking care of your health should be your priority. Thus, you will not be a burden to them. Have an annual health check-up and take the prescribed medicines regularly. Do take health insurance cover.

3. Money is important: Money is essential for meeting the basic necessities of life, keeping good health and earning family respect and security. Don't spend beyond your means even for your children. You have lived for them all through and it is time you enjoyed a harmonious life with your spouse. If your children are grateful and they take care of you, you are blessed. But never take it for granted.

4. Relaxation and recreation: The most relaxing and recreating forces are a healthy religious attitude, good sleep, music and laughter. Have faith in God, learn to sleep well, love good music and see the funny side of life.

5. Time is precious: It is almost like holding a horse's reins. When they are in your hands, you can control them. Imagine that everyday you are born again. Yesterday is a cancelled cheque. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is ready cash — use it profitably. Live this moment.

6. Change is the only permanent thing: We should accept change — it is inevitable. The only way to make sense out of change is to join the dance. Change has brought about many pleasant things. We should be happy that our children are blessed.

7. Enlightened selfishness: All of us are basically selfish. Whatever we do, we expect something in return. We should definitely be grateful to those who stood by us. But our focus should be on the internal satisfaction and happiness we derive by doing good to others, without expecting anything in return.

8. Forget and forgive: Don't be bothered too much about others' mistakes. We are not spiritual enough to show our other cheek when we are slapped in one. But for the sake of our own health and happiness, let us forgive and forget them. Otherwise, we will be only increasing our BP.

9. Everything has a purpose: Take life as it comes. Accept yourself as you are and also accept others for what they are. Everybody is unique and right in his own way.

10. Overcome the fear of death: We all know that one day we have to leave this world. Still we are afraid of death. We think that our spouse and children will be unable to withstand our loss. But the truth is no one is going to die for you; they may be depressed for some time. Time heals everything and they will carry on.
