MUSIC, SOUL AND SUBJECT MATTER

SCIENCE  BEHIND  SUPERSTITIONS

IF YOU ARE A NEW READER, PLEASE READ FROM THE FIRST EPISODE

THESE SERIES OF ARTICLES ARE WRITTEN WITH AN INTENTION TO ANALYZE AND LEARN THE BEST OUT OF OUR ANCESTRAL PRACTICE IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR RELIGION AND FAITH AND NOT TO SUPPORT ANY RELIGION.
THE ANCESTRAL  THOUGHTS  AND TRADITIONS  ARE THE OUTCOME OF THEIR  BROAD ANALYSIS RELEVANT TO THE ENVIRONMENT THAT  EXISTED AT THEIR TIME .
CHANGING TIMES MAY NOT WARRANT  IMPORTANCE  BUT ONE SHOULD NOT IGNORE  THE FACTS BEHIND THEM, WHICH CAN COMPLEMENT  OUR MODERN APPROACH.

Why did our ancestors say that a  pregnant lady should hear soothing music?
How did they say that music could break an inanimate thing?

Our ancestors wanted the expectant mothers to listen to classical music and they were aware it could create an impact on the growing baby.

Today’s science says  Classical Music Can Have Powerful Effects Even Before Birth. One recent study demonstrates that children exposed to classical music in the womb show a positive change in physical and mental development after birth. In this experiment, fetuses were exposed to 70 hours of classical music during the last weeks of pregnancy. When studied at six months, these babies were more advanced in terms of motor, linguistic and intellectual development than babies who received no musical stimulus during pregnancy.

Our ancestors even knew the impact of sound and they depicted that sound can break inanimate objects- the old literature tells us about a poet Kalamegham who could break a lock/metal object by the pitch of his song, to open it to get into the temple.
I could recall my school NCC days, where as an Under Officer I was told to give a command to make the troop to walk with ease while crossing any bridge , to avoid weakening/collapse of bridge ,which would be possible by the impact of sounds created by organised foot steps.

I have also seen some youtube videos where some expert could break a wine glass by passing  sound waves of high pitch. All these , no doubt only support the belief/theory as conceived by our ancestors that sound can break inanimate objects.
